Investigation and Discipline
The investigation and discipline process is consistent with the Association’s regulatory mandate to ensure the public interest is served and protected. As indicated in section 32(1) of The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, a complaint must be in writing or must be a request from the APEGS Council. The Association can only investigate allegations of professional misconduct and/or professional incompetence against its members and is not a substitute for the civil courts. The Investigation Committee is responsible for investigating the complaint. Staff support is provided to conduct the gathering of information.
