Dream Big for Engineering and Geoscience Week

Engineering and Geoscience Week in Saskatchewan is from March 3 - March 9, 2019.

APEGS is bringing Dream Big: Engineering Our World to every school in Saskatchewan so that all students can learn more about engineering right in the classroom.

Narrated by Academy Award® winner Jeff Bridges, Dream Big transforms how people think about engineering. From the Great Wall of China and the world’s tallest buildings, to underwater robots, solar cars and smart, sustainable cities, Dream Big celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small, and reveals the heart that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world.

ATTENTION: School Educators

APEGS sent a letter to education centres in early December about Dream Big requesting a list of schools interested in having an engineering or geoscience professional introduce the show with a contest and prizes.

Thank you to all those schools that expressed interest by the January 31, 2019 deadline. APEGS is working to match schools with a volunteer and will be in touch with you soon. In the meantime, check out the Dream Big FAQ (frequently asked questions).

APEGS will be distributing the Dream Big DVDs to every school in February, and schools can also check out the movie and educational resources on ROVER, the Ministry of Education’s video streaming service), at https://rover.edonline.sk.ca/en/rover/videos/2804.

ATTENTION: Engineering and Geoscience Professionals

Thank you for helping APEGS dream bigger!
Almost 300 engineering and geoscience professionals have volunteered to introduce Dream Big: Engineering Our World at a school during Engineering and Geoscience Week. Thank you to all those who signed up by the January 31, 2019 deadline.

APEGS is working to match volunteers with schools and will be in touch with you soon to provide instructions and speaking notes. In the meantime, check out the Dream Big FAQ (frequently asked questions).
