DESCRIPTION:Professional Geoscientists Ontario 2022 Virtual Symposium \nApril 19\, 21\, 26 & 28\, 2022 \n  \nThe PGO 2022 Virtual Symposium has been thoughtfully designed by professional geoscientists for professional geoscientists as a unique opportunity to engage with fellow practitioners regarding issues affecting our practice. We present four themes pertinent to everyone: intersectionality of Reconciliation with diversity and inclusion\, professionalism\, communication\, and sustainability. These issues impact geoscientists and a broad community of non-geoscientists including regulators\, government staff\, professional and technical societies\, insurers\, legal practitioners\, proponents of geoscience-related projects\, and the public. PMP\, Principal\, Structural Engineer\, Driftstone Consulting \nTopic \nEntrepreneurship in Engineering \n  \nKatelyn Sebastian is a structural engineer with over 10 years of experience in Structural Engineering and Project Management in buildings engineering.  Katelyn is a founder and owner of Driftstone Consulting\, located in Regina\, Saskatchewan and providing services across 8 provinces and territories.  Katelyn was the inaugural recipient of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE) Young Professionals Award\, having held several positions with CSCE at a local and national level.  She is the current Vice-Chair and incoming Chair of the ACEC-SK Buildings Committee. \nKatelyn is an advocate for women in engineering.  She is passionate about seeking out projects that make a difference\, whether large or small.  She firmly believes that providing services based on transparency and strong communication are fundamental to the enhancement of the image of the consulting engineering industry.  Her firm has committed to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Call to Action for Businesses\, and has created an indigenous partnership as part of that commitment. \n  \nFor more information and registration: https://www.acec-sk.ca/events/acecsk_young_professional_virtual_leadership_series_.html
