DESCRIPTION:Event Format: Webinar – Microsoft Teams \nHosting Organization: APEGS – A Webinar Series Presentation \nEvent Summary: This webinar will fulfill the annual ethics requirement for the APEGS CPD Program. \nThis one-hour webinar will cover the expected standards for ethical behaviour from Professional Engineers and Geoscientists in Saskatchewan.  Several scenarios will be presented where a professional would be called upon to demonstrate adherence to those standards.  Scenarios may involve several of the behaviour expectations described in the APEGS Code of Ethics.  Participants will be polled to identify their preference from options presented for the scenario.  The webinar will wrap up with a short Question and Answer session\, followed by contact information for further conversation on professional ethics. \nPresenter: Harlan Kennedy\, P.Eng\, PMP\, retired from public service in April 2021 in Saskatchewan\, where his career included significant work managing and delivering facility design and construction\, information technology\, business process improvement\, and event projects. \nHarlan has been a professional engineer since 1980\, becoming a life member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists in 2022.  He achieved his Project Management Professional designation from the Project Management Institute in 1998. \nHarlan has been an instructor for the University of Regina Faculty of Continuing Education\, Business and Professional Development Programs department since 2004\, facilitating courses in Leadership and Project Management.  Harlan obtained a certificate in Adult Education from the University of Regina in 2006.  He has also taken courses in stand-up comedy\, and has acted in local theatre\, television\, and movie productions. \nThere is no cost to attend. \nThis event will be held on the Microsoft Teams platform.  The meeting link will be sent via email on January 12\, 2024. \nHow to Register: THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT.
