SUMMARY:Business Data Analytics for Engineers\, Geoscientists\, and Managers - SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:Event Format: In-person Event \nLocation: DoubleTree Hotel – 1975 Broad Street\, Regina\, SK \nHosting Organization: APEGS \nCourse Summary: The APEGS Professional Development Committee is pleased to offer Business Data Analytics for Engineers\, Geoscientists\, and Managers. \nAs the ability to take advantage of the available data in the organizations is turning to a competitive advantage\, engineers\, geoscientists\, and managers who can work with raw data\, uncover hidden patterns and insight\, and effectively communicate the complex information with the key stakeholders are set up for success. \nWith the increasing interest in adopting data analytics in various industries\, organizations are moving to acquire analytics competency toward enhanced decision making\, leading to improved performance. \nAs employees in organizations have a deep understanding of the business\, learning about data analytics enables them to take advantage of the data within their organizations to capture insight (turn raw data into information) and communicate the information with their teams\, clients\, and senior management. Data analytics tools and techniques such as database analytics (e.g.\, using database functions to extract records) and data visualization (e.g.\, developing dashboards for communicating data and information) can help to better understand the situation and the existing problems\, which provides insight for management to make better decisions. For example\, one of the benefits of data analytics is operation optimization\, which can be achieved by better forecasting\, reducing downtime\, improving capacity utilization\, streamlining production processes\, and improving productivity/efficiency\, resulting in increased profit. \n*Attendees will be required to bring a laptop.  Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Teams will be used by the attendees during the course. \n**Only 20 spaces are available for this one-day course.  Don’t miss out.  Register Today! \nCourse Fee: $199 (includes all taxes and fees) \nHow to Register: Click here to register.
