It is a locally made material. The objectives of this session would be to gain an understanding of concrete materials and mix design submissions requirements. We will discuss each of the components of the mix design and the effect on durability and workability. \nPresenter: Alison Dowling\, P.Eng. graduated from the University of Alberta and is currently pursuing an MSc in Advanced Concrete Technology at the University of Leeds. With a passion for concrete\, she has been practicing in Saskatchewan since her role as Project Quality Manager on the Regina Bypass project. She fell in love with Saskatchewan and continues to work\, volunteer\, and dragonboat here. With 35 years of experience as a contractor\, concrete supplier\, and materials engineer\, she actively supports CSA A23.1/2\, ACI technical committees\, and provincial concrete technical committees in Alberta and Saskatchewan. \nWho Should Attend: Owners\, Contractors and Engineers who deal with concrete. \nGeneral Information: There is no cost to attend\, but registration is required.
