SUMMARY:Harnessing Waste Heat Recovery Opportunities in Industrial Processes – An APEGS Webinar
DESCRIPTION:Registration is now closed. If you need to cancel your registration to this event\, please email cpd@apegs.ca. \nDate: May 14\, 2025 \nTime: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CST (Saskatchewan Time) \nEvent Format: Live Webinar – Microsoft Teams \nHosting Organization: APEGS – A Live Webinar Series Presentation \nEvent Summary: From mining and minerals to oil and gas\, food processing and everything in-between\, the energy involved in the production of finished goods represents one of operators most significant operating costs. This presentation will examine the steps many are taking to reduce their consumption of fuel gas – notably through recent advances in heat exchange technology that are allowing for the economical recovery of waste heat from existing process loops. \nPresenters: \nJill Caskey\, Global Sales Director\, Solex Thermal Science. Jill has been with Solex Thermal Science since 2011 and she oversees Solex’s North America technology applications\, focusing on helping customers with bulk solids heat transfer and waste heat recovery solutions. She brings over a decade of technical experience across a variety of diverse applications\, thermal modeling and equipment design. \nMark Boocock\, Global Sales Director\, Energy Recovery\, Econotherm.  Mark  has spent the last two decades establishing UK-based Econotherm’s industrial heat pipe technology\, with more than 300 installations across multiple industries globally. He is also a visiting professor at London-based Brunel University. \nWho Should Attend: Process engineers\, project engineers\, design engineers\, operations engineers\, engineering managers\, chief engineers\, instrumentation and controls engineers\, environmental engineers\, reliability engineers. Industries: Mining & Minerals\, Energy\, Manufacturing & Industrial Processing\, academia\, government agencies. \nGeneral Information: There is no cost to attend\, but registration is required. This webinar is eligible for 1 Formal Activity CPD credit. This event will be held live on the Microsoft Teams Webinar platform. \nImportant: Once your registration is complete\, you will receive a Teams Meeting invitation which includes a unique link to join the meeting.
