DESCRIPTION:The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science is pleased to sponsor a symposium on Decarbonizing Transportation in Southern Saskatchewan. DESCRIPTION:This year the Saskatchewan Geological Society is planning a field trip to Southwest Saskatchewan. Dr. Meagan Gilbert will lead participants through the Tertiary Section of the rock record.  Meagan grew up in the area and is very familiar with the geology. Dr. Michelle Hanson will share her knowledge of the Glacial History of the area so this promises to be an exciting field trip. \nThe dates are September 15-20th\, 2023. Cost is $500 for SGS Members and $250 for Student SGS Members and includes transportation\, accommodations\, lunches and a guidebook. You can book directly by paying on the SGS website. DESCRIPTION:Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a nationally recognized certification course developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada.  The course aims to develop the skills of participants in providing help to a person experiencing a mental health and/or substance use problem or crisis. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained\, MHFA is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved. \nThe virtual course is delivered in a blended learning format. \nSelf-Directed Learning \nTwo weeks prior to the course start date\, participants will receive log-in details for the Learning Management System.
