Reinstate a Certificate of Authorization

Option A. If you resigned your Certificate of Authorization (C of A) and are reinstating it in the same calendar year that it ended, then you must pay the pro-rated annual fee for the remainder of the year. If you are reinstating your C of A in the same year it ended and your C of A ended because you did not pay your fees on time, the full annual fee plus a reinstatement fee of 15% must be paid.

One of the Official Representatives must email APEGS through our Contact Us page to request the reinstatement. APEGS will invoice you for the amount owing. The fees can be paid online through the online profile of an Official Representative. The Official Representative must complete the applicable declarations in their online profile.

Option B. If your Certificate of Authorization ended in a previous year, you must submit a new application, including the application fee. Go to Apply for a Certificate of Authorization for details on the process and requirements.

Activate a Previously Approved Certificate of Authorization

If your Certificate of Authorization (C of A) was previously approved, but you did not activate it by paying the pro-rated fee and it has been less than two years since the original approval, then you can activate it without submitting another application. If it has been more than two years, then you must submit a new application. You must also pay the pro-rated annual fee for the remainder of the year.
