International Mobility
International Mobility Engineering
International mobility for engineering is based on membership in the International Engineering Alliance (IEA).
- Any individual of good character, who is listed on the International Professional Engineers Register will be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer once they have:
- Passed the National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE).
- Demonstrated English language competence
- Any individual of good character, who is licensed at the full professional level (equivalent to P.Eng.) by any of the regulatory bodies that are signatories to the International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA) or Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer once they have:
- Demonstrated competence in the Canadian Environment Competencies (CECs) through a competency-based assessment
- Passed the NPPE
- Demonstrated English language competence
International Mobility Geoscience
International mobility for geoscientists is based on Geoscientists Canada being an international member of the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG).
- Any individual of good character, who is licensed as a Professional Geologist in the United States will be eligible for registration as a Professional Geoscientist once they have:
- Demonstrated competence in the Canadian Work Environment Competencies (CWECs) through a competency-based assessment
- Passed the NPPE
- Demonstrated English language competence
