Manager of Communications

The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) is seeking a Manager of Communications.

Nature of Role: Permanent Full Time

Hours of Work: 40 hrs/week, 5 days/week

Job Description:

Specific roles and responsibilities assigned to the Manager of Communications position will focus on, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead the development and implementation of APEGS-wide communication strategies aligned with the organization’s strategic plan.
  • Plan and manage major stakeholder events, such as the Annual Meeting and outreach activities.
  • Maintain and enforce APEGS’ brand and visual identity standards across all communication channels.
  • Provide communications expertise and support to departments, including media relations, social media, and internal communications.
  • Manage external service providers to support communication initiatives and ensure quality results.
  • Monitor and evaluate communication program effectiveness using defined metrics and feedback mechanisms.
  • Develop and maintain internal policies, tools, and processes that support effective communication practices across the organization.
  • Provide leadership and management to communications staff, including performance management and daily operations.
  • Contribute to organizational planning and cross-departmental collaboration as a member of the management team.
