New Online Module Launched!

January 10th, 2023

The Law and Professional Practice in Engineering and Geoscience provides valuable information on professionalism and the law as they relate to the professional practice of engineering and geoscience. The module educates engineering and geoscience professionals about Canadian and Saskatchewan laws and can help them understand when to seek professional legal advice to protect the public and the environment.

All members are encouraged to complete the module. Members in training and licensee applicants are strongly encouraged to complete the module by the time they are registered as professionals or licensees. Completion of this module, along with the online ethics modules are important preparation for professional practice.

The module is organized in 11 segments with a short quiz at the end of each one. Upon completion of all segments, members can download a certificate of completion and claim three hours of formal activity under the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program. (Note that this module cannot be counted as the one-hour of annual ethics training required under the CPD program. To access ethics training, click here.)
