Event Summary
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is hosting a webinar on the Methane Generation Assessment Report, the first requirement under the federal Landfill Methane Regulations.
The webinar will present information on:
- which landfills are required to submit a report
- the Landfill Methane Modelling Tool
- the contents of the Methane Generation Assessment Report
- reporting using ECCC’s new reporting platform – Regulatory Services Platform
Resources
The ECCC Technical Guidance Document on Estimating, Measuring and Monitoring Landfill Methane and the accompanying Landfill Methane Modelling Tool are referenced in the Regulations and provide guidance on how to conduct a methane generation assessment. These resources can be accessed via the LMR Google drive – a repository of documents that has been established to provide access to documents and tools referenced in the Regulations and to support awareness of regulatory requirements.
