The review of The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act continues. As part of preparing the proposed changes for submission to Government, APEGS will continue engaging with industry and other interest holders to further discuss the proposed changes and gather feedback to support a well-informed legislative submission. APEGS operates under the authority of the following act and bylaws, which establish APEGS’ mandate and regulatory powers and provide detailed rules to fulfill them.
The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act
The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act is the legislation that governs APEGS. This Act officially defines the practices of professional engineering and geoscience, describes council responsibilities, outlines bylaws, and includes information on memberships, disciplinary actions and more.
