Event Summary
Have you considered making a meaningful difference through leadership on APEGS council? If so, please join us for a lunch hour webinar explaining the electoral process and what it means to serve on council.
Past President Ian Farthing, P.Eng., will explain the role, responsibilities and share insights about his experience serving on council. This webinar will also serve as an opportunity for members to ask questions and receive support with the application process.
Presenter
Ian Farthing, P.Eng., FEC, FGC (Hon.), is currently the APEGS Past President and has served on council for six years, following six years of volunteer service on a variety of APEGS committees. He studied at the University of Saskatchewan, graduating from Agricultural Bioresource Engineering. Ian currently practices civil engineering, and has worked on grading plans and building services, helped improve water access in First Nations communities, and contributed to projects in tourist destinations like Candle Lake and Prince Albert National Park. Ian lives in Prince Albert with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys being active with activities that include curling, volleyball, spin, High-Intensity Interval Training or most other activities that meet the definition of Type 2 fun.
