Promising Professional Award

This award recognizes exceptional achievements by a professional in the early stages of their career and highlights individuals who demonstrate strong potential for future contributions to engineering and/or geoscience. Special consideration is given to technical, societal, and community participation. Time as a member-in-training is not considered.

Selection criteria for the Promising Professional Award:

  • Exceptional achievements by a professional member in the early stages of their career
  • Accomplishments in engineering/geoscience (50%)
  • Service to the professions in public education and/or active participation in engineering/geoscience associations, societies, institutes (25%)
  • Service to the community (25%)

Note: This award is for someone who is in the early stages of their career, typically within the first five  years of professional practice (does not count the member-in-training time).
