October 31, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Event Format: Webinar

Hosting Organization: APEGA

Course Summary: We humans are hard-wired for social relationships with one another. This capacity to connect is beneficial in multiple ways, including decreasing health risks and improving our physical well-being and longevity. Social media has increased our ability to connect with each other while also, ironically, leading to an increased sense of loneliness for some people. Research suggests that we may have a “sweet spot” in our social media use that allows us to experience a sense of connection while steering clear of the potential mindless scrolling that can lead to less connection.
