Event Summary: Research shows that young technical professionals perform better and stay with companies longer when they participate in an effective mentoring program.
A big part of your company’s success depends on succession planning, and that begins with a formal mentoring program.
This four-hour online course prepares your middle-level and senior-level engineers to offer young mentors an exceptional mentoring experience.
In this highly interactive course, you will learn these principles and practice these skills:
- What makes a mentoring program successful
- How is a successful mentor/mentee relationship formed and sustained
- When is the best time to begin a mentoring program
- How to determine who should be a mentor and who should be mentored
- How to measure the success of your mentoring program
- How you can sustain a mentoring program
- How mentoring fits into successful succession planning
We will deliver this course remotely, with a live instructor in a 4-hour block. We include two short breaks and individual and group. Participants receive a workbook.
This course is accredited by the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC) and is eligible for 4 PDHs or 0.4 CEUs.
