Nigora Yulyakshieva, P.Eng., was born and raised in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. In 1999, she and her family arrived in Canada as refugees, and she began her new career chapter as an Engineering Assistant, then an Engineer-in-Training, and finally, a P.Eng.

Braden Richards, Geoscientist-in-Training, pursued his B.Sc. Honours in Geology and Environmental Earth Sciences at the U of S. During his time there, he was drawn to how geochemistry interacted with human activities and the environment, which eventually led to his current field of environmental geoscience.
