  • Energy Transition with Hydrogen and CCUS – An APEGS Webinar

Hydrogen and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) play a vital role in driving the energy transition forward. Hydrogen serves as a clean, efficient fuel for transportation and industrial processes, while CCUS transforms carbon emissions into valuable resources. These include applications like enhanced oil recovery, fertilizer production, sustainable aviation fuels, and the creation of both food-grade and industrial-grade CO₂. By working together, these technologies not only cut greenhouse gas emissions but also unlock new economic opportunities from captured carbon, paving the way toward a greener, more resilient Canadian energy future.

  • SES Lecture – Mental Health & Seasonal Affective Disorder

15 Innovation Boulevard 15 Innovation Boulevard, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

Seasonal Affective Disorder affects a significant percentage of our population. As the winter days grow short, our bodies react. Changes in mood, loss of energy, and cognitive difficulties can all be the result. Up to 25% of the population in Canada will show symptoms of Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) in either a mild or severe form. There is hope, however. With knowledge, we can recognize the issues and use some of the available coping mechanisms to bring us successfully through the winter.

  • Intro to Welded Steel Storage Tanks – An APEGS Webinar

Welded steel storage tanks can seem simple.  However, if they are specified poorly during the procurement process it can lead to late delivery, budget overruns, and poor performance once the tank is installed.  This webinar will help attendees understand the basics of the most common tank codes (API 12F/650/620, ULC S601, ASME VIII Div 1, and AWWA D-100) so that they can navigate through tank projects more effectively.  The presenters will share what they consider to be the best practices for tank design and explain how different design choices can make the difference between a great tank and one that can be a headache for operators.  Additional guidance will be given on specific areas to pay attention to during the procurement process to ensure tank fabricators deliver the best tank for your application, on time and on budget.
